Major Green is a native of Manchester, New Hampshire. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven with a Minor in Chinese and was commissioned in December 2010. Second Lieutenant Green reported to The Basic School in Quantico, VA in December of 2010 and reported to Infantry Officer Course (IOC) in Quantico, VA in September of 2011. He then reported to Ground Intelligence Officer Course (GIOC) in Dam Neck, VA in January of 2012. Upon completion of GIOC, he received the MOS of 0203, Ground Intelligence Officer, and reported to the Intelligence Section, 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2d Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, NC, to assume duties as Battalion Intelligence Officer.
In March 2013, First Lieutenant Green reported as an Individual Augment to 2d Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division. In August 2013, First Lieutenant Green Deployed with 2d Marine Regiment to Afghanistan as the Intelligence Production and Analysis Officer in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.
In August 2014, First Lieutenant Green attended U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command Assessment and Selection. Upon selection, First Lieutenant Green returned to 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion to serve as the Executive Officer of Company A. In January 2015, First Lieutenant Green reported to the U.S. Army Maneuver Captain’s Career Course (MCCC) in Fort Benning, GA. Captain Green graduated from MCCC in July 2015 and reported to the Marine Special Operations School (MSOS) MARSOF Team Commander’s Course (MTCC) 15-2.
In May 2016, Captain Green graduated from MTCC and reported to Team 8312, Marine Special Operations Company (MSOC) Kilo, 3d Marine Raider Battalion to assume duties as Team Commander. Captain Green deployed in support of OPERATION ODYSSEY RESOLVE from October 2017 until April 2018.
In May 2018, Captain Green reported to MSOC Kilo, 3d Marine Raider Battalion to assume duties as MSOC Executive Officer. Captain Green deployed in support of OPERATION FREEDOM’S SENTINEL from September 2019 to March 2020.
In May 2020, Captain Green reported to the Marine Raider Training Center (MRTC) to assume duties as Company Commander, Marine Special Operations Training Company (MSOTC) A, where he oversaw the MARSOC Individual Training Course (ITC), MARSOF Master Assaulter’s Course (MMAC), and MARSOF Team Chief’s Course (MTCC).
In July 2022, Major Green reported to 1st Marine Raider battalion to assume duties as Operations Officer, where he oversaw the re-investment of the Theater Campaign model, the pre-deployment training and certification, validation, and verification of Special Operations Task Force – 81 (SOTF-81), and the execution of Exercise BALIKATAN 23.
In September 2023, Major Green reported to 2nd Marine Raider battalion to assume duties as Operations Officer. Major Green deployed to the Special Operations Command – Pacific AOR from December 2023 to July 2024 as the Operations Officer for Special Operations Task Force – Philippines.
Major Green’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal w/ gold star in lieu of second award, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon. Major Green holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from Webster University and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.
Major Green's hobbies include reading, road cycling, mountain biking, skiing, and hiking.
