Capt Annika M. Munson graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2019. In March of 2020, she graduated from The Basic School and subsequently reported to the Defense Information School’s Public Affairs Qualification Course, where she was designated a Communication Strategy and Operations Officer.

Capt Munson reported to 3d Marine Division in September, 2020 where she served in a variety of roles supporting deployments to mainland Japan, the Philippines, Korea, and Australia.

In January of 2023 Capt Munson reported to Joint U.S. Military Support Group Philippines where she served as the DOD Public Affairs Liaison for USEMB, Manila. In June of 2023 Capt Munson returned to 3d Marine Division as the COMMSTRAT Deputy Director. One year later in 2024, she transitioned to the role of Aide-de-Camp, Commanding General, 3d Marine Division, where she finished out her time in Okinawa.

In June of 2025 Capt Munson reported to the United States Naval Academy, where she is thrilled to serve in Luce Hall with the leadership department.
