Musician 1st Class Aden Beery

Musician 1st Class Aden Beery hails from Greensboro, North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Music in tuba performance from DePaul University and is an alumnus of the Interlochen Arts Academy. His principal teachers include Floyd Cooley, Gene Pokorny, and Thomas Riccobono.
Beery has performed with the National Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, National Philharmonic, Annapolis Symphony, Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Valley Symphony, Classical Orchestra of Chicago, and the Soli Deo Gloria Brass. In 2017, he performed as a part of the Fellowship Brass Quintet at the Aspen Music Festival and studied side-by-side with the American Brass Quintet. In previous years, he attended other music festivals, including the Eastern Music Festival and the National Youth Orchestra of America.
In 2018, Beery auditioned and was selected for assignment to the U.S. Naval Academy Band. Following recruit training at RTC Great Lakes, he reported for duty as tuba instrumentalist with the brass quintet, brass ensemble, marching band, and ceremonial units. For his collateral duties, Beery serves as Band's Leading Petty Officer, Brass Quintet Unit Leader, Auditions Supervisor, Apprentice Program Manager, Educational Service Officer, and Brass Ensemble Leading Petty Officer.
Beery’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards) and the Navy Good Conduct Medal (two awards).
