Adam Aviv

Adam J. Aviv is an enthusiastic and driven teacher and researcher who brings energy and creativity to all projects. Dr. Aviv received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, studying computer security of mobile devices, and he has brought his passion for research and teaching to USNA. He has received external funding from NSF, NSA, and ONR, and has advised 9 independent research projects, including one trident scholar, and 6 capstone projects related to his research. Over 40 midshipman have had exposure to Dr. Aviv's research in the broad area of cybersecurity, including human factors in security, applied cryptography, and network security, leading to 4 publications with midshipman co-authors.
