Interested students, parents, and educators are encouraged to attend one of two daily briefings. These briefings will last approximately 1 hour and will include an informative discussion led by an active duty Navy or Marine Corps admission officer. These officers are admissions experts and can address the questions you have about gaining entrance into the Naval Academy. No appointment is necessary to attend these briefings.

We also provide the Admissions Brief virtually. The brief is available online on YouTube, which is accompanied by a live chat with Admissions staff for questions and answers from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Saturday. The live chat will be accessible from the “Contact Us” chat widget available on our Admissions website.

In response to updated DoD Policy, the Office of Admissions will begin implementing new COVID-19 screening protocols the week of 20 Sep 21 for participation in all U.S. Naval Academy Admissions programs. Candidates, students, parents and others attending a candidate tour, Admissions brief or meeting with Admissions personnel must be fully vaccinated (see note 1) or provide a negative COVID-19 test within three days of visiting the Naval Academy. If vaccinated, official visitors will be asked to complete DD Form 3150 (DD Form 3150 Certification of Vaccination) to certify vaccination. This form will be required at check in and must be retained for the entirety of the visit to show to Department of Defense (DoD) personnel upon request. If unvaccinated or choosing not to provide vaccination results, visitors will be required to provide an electronic or paper copy of a negative COVID-19 test administered no earlier than three days prior to the visit. Any official visitor who is not vaccinated or fails to show a negative COVID-19 test result will be not allowed to participate in any program.
Candidates participating in a Candidate Visit Weekend are the exception and must be fully vaccinated. Each candidate participating in this program will be asked to complete DD Form 3150 to certify vaccination status as discussed above.
Note 1: Fully vaccinated is defined as 14 days after the completion of the final dosage of COVID vaccine.
