Service Requests
All service requests (excluding the MSC Graphics Technology Lab requests, which must be done in person) may be submitted through the MSC Service Desk by emailing msc@usna.edu. Request forms are available on the website (Quick Request Forms) The Service Desk is located on the ground deck of Nimitz Library, Room G001. The mail stop is 10F. If you have additional questions, please call 410-293-4028 to reach the MSC Service Desk.
Loan Pool
MSC loans equipment to USNA faculty, staff, and midshipmen engaged in USNA authorized activities. Equipment includes digital cameras, camcorders, tripods, projectors, screens and more. The equipment is available at the MSC Service Desk. To ensure equipment is available, please send your request in advance to msc@usna.edu. Include requested purpose, responsible user name and dates needed. Loan Pool equipment is not authorized to leave USNA grounds.
After Hours Podcasting & Video Editing Suites

Two, identical, self-help suites are available on a first come, first served basis outside the MSC Service Desk for making audio recordings, podcasts, editing video, teleconferences and graphics work. Each suite is sound insulated and has a large display with a dedicated webcam. There is also an M4 Mac Mini loaded with all of the graphics and video editing software available in the MSC Graphics Technology Lab and a speed editor for efficient video editing. All of the equipment can also be easily connected to a laptop with the provided cables should you prefer to use your own computer. but we need to know in advance since MSC is not open after 1600 M-F or on the weekend.
