Visitor Information

Admission to the U.S. Naval Academy Museum is free. The Museum is handicapped accessible. 

The Museum is located in Preble Hall on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. 

Visitors to the Naval Academy over the age of 18 must show a valid government ID (driver's license, passport, CAC, etc.) at the gate. Visitors from Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, or Washington, and ID cards from American Samoa, will be required to present a second form of government or school issued identification (picture required). Directions

Coming east on Route 50: Take exit 24 to Rowe Boulevard. Turn left at the second stoplight onto Taylor Avenue. After two blocks, Taylor Avenue takes a sharp turn to the right and becomes Baltimore Boulevard (Route 450). Stay on Baltimore Boulevard and turn right at the first stoplight which is King George Street. On-street parking is available along most of King George Street. Once you are parked, walk to Maryland Avenue and enter the Academy grounds through Gate 3.

Coming west on Route 50: Take the exit for Route 450. Stay right at the fork after the exit and follow the signs to the Naval Academy. Take Route 450 to King George Street and turn left. On-street parking is available along most of King George Street. Once you are parked, walk to Maryland Avenue and enter the Academy grounds through Gate 3.

Drivers without Department of Defense I.D. are not permitted to drive onto the Naval Academy grounds. Handicapped visitors with proper decals are permitted through Gate 1 after a vehicle inspection. All bags are subject to search.

Visitors to the U.S. Naval Academy Museum can also walk through Gate 1 (King George Street).
