1stLt Samuel Dorchuck
First Lieutenant Dorchuck earned his commission in June 2021 after graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and in Mathematics. In September 2021, he graduated from MIT with a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a concentration in Computer Systems.
In September 2021, First Lieutenant Dorchuck reported to Golf Company, 7-21 of The Basic School (TBS) in Quantico, VA. In April 2022, he graduated third in Golf Company, earning meritorious career designation and recognition on the Commanding General’s Honor Role.
From May 2022 to September 2022, First Lieutenant Dorchuck served as a Cyberspace Capability Developer for the Cyber National Mission Force in Fort Meade, MD.
In September 2022, First Lieutenant Dorchuck reported to Marine Detachment, Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA. In April 2023, he graduated as the Honor Graduate from Cyberspace Operations Officer Course 23-001.
In May of 2023, First Lieutenant Dorchuck reported to 9th Communication Battalion, Defensive Cyberspace Operations – Internal Defensive Measures (DCO-IDM) Company. From May 2023 to March 2024, First Lieutenant Dorchuck served as the first commander of Defensive Cyberspace Weapons Platoon (DCWP), building out DCWP as a general support unit to provide cyber weapons system employment expertise and cyber threat emulation training ranges for I MEF’s sole defensive cyberspace operations company. In July 2023, 1stLt Dorchuck served as a Cyber Planner in the Combined Joint Network Security Operations Center for Talisman Sabre 23. From March 2024 to April 2025, First Lieutenant Dorchuck served as the Executive Officer of DCO-IDM Company.
In April 2025, First Lieutenant Dorchuck reported to the United States Naval Academy Marine Detachment to serve as a Cyber Instructor in the Center for Cyber Security Studies.
