Mr. Mark De Bels, NSA Visiting Professor
Mr. De Bels is currently a NSA Visiting Professor in the Center for Cyber Security Studies at the United States Naval Academy. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science with an Emphasis on Network Security and a B.S. in Mathematics.
Mr. De Bels has held analytical, technical, operational, and leadership positions at both NSA Headquarters and the field. His expertise and career have focused on both defensive and offensive NSA missions. Most recently, Mr. De Bels was the Chief of a 100 person organization focused on Signals Intelligence analysis of cryptographic applications.
Mr. De Bels also recently took an 18 month tour as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) at the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) where he was responsible for working with Cleared Defense Contractors in securing their networks from foreign cyber attacks. His prior positions include:

Mr. De Bels’ research interests include Trust Infrastructure and the Security of Software Cryptographic Applications.
