Enrollment and Degree Verifications

The United States Naval Academy has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verifications.

Employers or Background Screening Firms

All employers and background screening firms must contact the National Student Clearinghouse to request the verifications. Their contact information is listed below:

  • Note: If you submit a request that requires additional research, we will report our findings to the request submitted via the National Student Clearinghouse. Please submit all requests to the Clearinghouse.

 Midshipmen

***Coming Soon*** Midshipmen will be able to obtain free enrollment verification certificates via the National Student Clearinghouse.

Until that service is live, currently enrolled midshipmen may request enrollment verification letters by emailing webregistrar@usna.edu 

USNA Alumni

Alumni who need verifications of enrollment or graduation may email requests to webregistrar@usna.edu. In the requests, please include the name used when you attended, alpha code, and class year. If you are submitting the request for the civilian retirement buy-back purposes, please also indicate if you need us to provide estimated earnings.

Other Requests

All other 3rd party requestors should review the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act available on the Administrative Department's website: https://www.usna.edu/AdminSupport/foia/index.php
