Training for Supervisors

Supervisors must complete ALL required supervisory training through their TWMS account within one year of being assigned to a supervisory position and every three years thereafter. 

Instructions for Completing Training: 

The preferred method to complete annual supervisory training it to complete the web-based training modules via TWMS and Navy e-Learning (NeL) via the My Navy Portal (MNP).   

To access this training:
  • Insert your CAC into the computer and go to https://mytwms.dc3n.navy.mil and log in. 
  • Click on the Online Training & Notices tab under Tools/Actions (bar on the left side of the screen). 
  • Click on ONLINE SUPERVISORY to the right of the yellow/orange highlighted REQUIRED TRAINING & NOTICES
  • Click on the desired course title to begin.

If you complete the web-based training in TWMS, you will receive a certificate upon completion of the training. If training is completed in NeL, your certificate can be obtained by going to your My Learning tab and clicking on "Open My Training History".

The Human Resources Office (HRO) does not require copies of certificates for training taken in TWMS or through NeL as completion of these web-based courses is automatically logged in your official training record. If a certificate for completed training is obtained from any other application, however, please provide a copy to the HRO (oliver@usna.edu) to officially record the training. 

NOTE:  The Supervisor Training Courses listed below are mandatory for all civilian supervisors and military leaders who supervise civilian employees in addition to the mandatory annual training for all civilians.
