Tina N. Randolph, LISW

Licensed Independent Social Worker/ Trauma specialist

Tina Randolph is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and the trauma specialist at the Midshipmen Development Center (MDC). In 2017, she graduated from the University of New England with a Master’s degree in social work. In 2012, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in psychology at University of Maryland, University College. Tina is also a Board Certified Diplomat through the American Board of Clinical Social Work.

 

Tina has over six years of experience providing individual psychotherapy with a passion for helping individuals heal from traumatic experiences. She began her career working with children, adolescents, and adults at a community mental health clinic in Maryland. Her employment through the agency set the groundwork for her passion and determination to work with clients who are victims of traumatic events.

 

In 2019, she was commissioned as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. After completing Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, AL, she reported to Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH, where she completed her social work residency. In 2020 she was reported to Dover Air Force Base in Dover, DE where she was employed as a staff clinical social worker and served as the Mental Health Flight Section Officer in Charge. In 2021, due to her work in the clinic managing daily operations with a critical manning deficit, and managing the clinic mission during Operation ALLIES WELCOME deployment, she was awarded CGO of the year at the squadron level. In 2021, she was promoted to the rank of Captain. In 2023, she resigned from Active Duty and joined the staff of the USNA, MDC as the trauma specialist.

 

Tina applies a multidimensional approach to therapy, exploring each individual’s biological, psychological, and social needs. As the trauma specialist, she has a strong desire to meet clients where they are and to assist them in healing from trauma, building self-worth, and reaching their goals. She primarily utilizes Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma and EMDR when supporting clients who have experienced traumatic events.
