Group Counseling
To join an MDC Group, email mdc@usna.edu or call 410-293-4897 to schedule. Some groups require a pre-group consultation—you may contact the designated facilitator directly for any questions (see below).
Group counseling is one of the most effective tools for addressing concerns commonly faced by college students. For many midshipmen, group experiences can be more helpful than individual counseling. MDC groups are open to all enrolled midshipmen. They are a place for midshipmen to come together, share the concerns they have in common, and learn new skills all under the guidance of a trained mental health care professional. Most midshipmen find that MDC groups exceed their expectations!

PRT Group
This group offers mental skills and strategies to achieve your best performance on the PRT. Learn about your ideal mindset, and how to regulate your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in any situation. Feel free to reach out to MDC for more details.
Support Group for Survivors of Sexual Trauma
This support group offers a safe, non-threatening setting for female survivors of sexual trauma to connect with other survivors, process emotions, and explore topics related to sexual violence. This is a counselor-led, closed group that offers support and education for survivors. The group will focus on further understanding trauma, strengthening coping skills, emotional regulation, and setting and maintaining boundaries.
