  • Dr. Celeste Raver

    Director of Influencer Development
    Biography

    Dr. Raver joined the Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership as the Timothy and Susanne Sullivan Director of Influencer Development in January 2022. Prior, she served as the Class of 1967 Leadership Research Fellow in the Department of Leadership, Ethics, and Law at the United States Naval Academy. As the Director of Influencer Development, Dr. Raver focuses on generating a strategic vision for the development of the leadership developers on the Yard - the faculty, military chain of command, coaches, and staff - that lead, coach, and mentor the Brigade of Midshipmen. She continues to perform research on leader and leadership development; resilience and grit in individuals, teams, and organizations; and the dynamic nature of organizations. Dr. Raver has published numerous articles and book chapters on her research, and presented at national and international conferences.

  • LtCol Eric Scherrer

    Biography

    LtCol Eric Scherrer was assigned to the Stockdale Center as a Commandant of the Marine Corps Fellow following his service as the Commanding Officer of VMFT-401, the Marine Corps’ Adversary Squadron. Prior to Commanding VMFT-401, LtCol Scherrer served as the Academic Dean and AV-8B Instructor Pilot for Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One. LtCol Scherrer is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, the Air Command and Staff College, and Marshall University. LtCol Scherrer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership from Marshall University. LtCol Scherrer has published multiple articles on subjects ranging from manpower management to F-35B Maritime Operations and serves as an executive coach and performance strategist to entrepreneurs and Chief Executive Officers within the business world.

  • LCDR Loren Crone

    Biography

    Chaplain Loren Crone is from Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Northwood University (West Palm Beach, FL) in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He received his Master of Divinity Degree (M.Div.) in 2009 from Mid-American Baptist Theological Seminary. Chaplain Crone was commissioned as an Ensign, Chaplain Candidate Program Officer, in the Inactive Ready Reserve (IRR), Navy June 2008. Chaplain Crone attended the Navy Officer Develop School (ODS) in Newport, RI, in May 2009. His first operational tour was command chaplain of the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, Camp Pendleton, CA, January 2010. During his tour, he completed over 100 successful air and ground missions during two deployments in Helmand Province Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).
